| Saved | I grew up in a Christian home. My grandfather is the pastor of the church I have attended all my life. Through my growing up years, I had many ups and downs spiritually. But thanks to the prayers of my family, I got saved one night in June when I was seventeen years old. Later, I was sanctified. |
| Calling | In my church, we had missionary service on Wednesdays once a month. This was my favorite service. Usually, a lady from our church would read letters or articles from the missionaries we supported. I got my call when I was eight years old. I was sitting in one of these services when I felt that God spoke to my heart and told me He wanted me to become a missionary. Even through the up and down times I had spiritually, I never got away from the calling. That call in my life has only gotten stronger as the years have gone by. |
| College/ Training |
I attended Hobe Sound Bible School from 2001-2006. I received a BA degree in Missions and an AS Degree in Computer Science. |
| Ministry | In College, I worked with several ministries involving children. I helped with a Bible club that worked with Hispanic children in a trailer park for a year. I also worked two years with a Sunday school class for special-needs children. I helped put on vacation bible schools for several summers as well. After I joined EFM, I worked at two different Christian schools. One was in Hammond, Indiana, where I worked with inner-city children from Hammond and Chicago. There I taught grades 1-4 using the ACE curriculum. I also taught at Stone City Christian Academy in Bedford, Indiana, teaching first grade. Now I work at the bi-lingual academy, in Jalapa Guatemala. I am teaching and training Guatemala teachers. |
