Jesus Christ willingly gave His life on the cross so that any person who sincerely and honestly seeks Him can be forgiven for his sins.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit (I Peter 3:18)
Receiving God's pardon for sins is as easy as C-B-A:
Confess your sins to God
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9)
Believe that He will forgive you
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved (Acts 16:31)
Accept Jesus Christ as the sufficient sacrifice for your sins
After he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down [at] the right hand of God (Hebrews 10:12)
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:25)
When you know that your sins are forgiven, God wants to help you grow in your faith. You grow by reading from God’s word, the Bible, each day and praying to God to guide you. As you learn from His word and walk in obedience to what it tells you, God will make you stronger each day and will help you resist temptation and will help you to keep your life free from willful sin.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (I Peter 3:18)
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:12)
God bless you and pour His love upon you!
